# Security filter options

> The countries and exchanges a securities search can be narrowed to, over the whole catalogue, with the same
shape and semantics as `meta.facets` on a search: `countries` (ISO alpha-2 listing countries) and `exchanges`
(ISO 10383 MIC, name, `country_code`) with row counts, sorted by count, and `no_venue` for rows with no listing
venue (funds, whose exchange is a registration market and never an option). Cached until the next catalogue
refresh; a picker can load it before anything is typed.
